Federal Tax Credits & Incentives for Homes and Residential Buildings

Residents, businesses, community organizations, and governments can save money by reducing energy use and emissions.

Funding opportunities are available to eligible residents, families, businesses, community organizations, and government partners for appliance and building system upgrades that reduce emissions. These upgrades help save on energy costs once installed.

The Colorado Energy Office is in the application process for federal funding to develop two rebate programs that will provide incentives for income-qualified Colorado homeowners and renters to improve home energy efficiency and upgrade to electric appliances. These upgrades will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve indoor and outdoor air quality and reduce residents’ heating and cooling costs. We will provide more information on these rebates as soon as it is available.
