Charge Ahead Colorado

Electric vehicle charging

The Colorado Energy Office (CEO) administers Charge Ahead Colorado, an electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure grant program. Grants are available for community-based Level 2 and DCFC charging stations. Program objectives include improving air quality, encouraging the deployment of EVs across the state and supporting the implementation of the Colorado Electric Vehicle Plan 2020. Since its inception in 2013, Charge Ahead Colorado has made awards for more than 1600 EV charging stations throughout Colorado.

Charge Ahead Colorado typically has three application rounds per year in January, May and October. We encourage public and private entities interested in installing a Level 2 or Level 3 charging station to apply. Applications for stations at workplaces, multifamily housing and tourist destinations are of particular interest. Projects are eligible statewide.

The Charge Ahead Colorado application, application guide, and other documents can be found here.
